Weekend away

I just came back from a weekend away celebrating one of
my friends' birthdays at the Pocono Mountains, Pennsylvania.
It was a weekend of skiing and just plain chilling out with good friends.
We stayed at a rented chalet along Lake Harmony and around the corner
from the chalet was this uninhabited little shack that caught my eye.
I'm always thinking about the textures/background that I would love
to have in my images and this little shanty fit the bill just right.

Happy Monday!

Jen and Jody revisited

I'm finally blogging again in the New Year.
After a very busy holiday season with the family and settling
back to my day job, I am revisiting a portrait session
with one of my favorite couples, Jen and Jody.

Knowing Jen and Jody, I knew they would be game for just about anything.
I had wanted to try new venues I've never photographed in Long Island so
we decided to shoot in the Milleridge Village and Planting Fields Arboretum.
Jen had actually volunteered at Planting Fields in the past,
so she knew exactly where to go for the shoot.

Here is Jen in the [B] squat position I learned from Becker.
This is one of my favorite palates I've shot.

Jen's shoes were fab.

Some of my favorites from the day.
Thanks for a fun day Jen and Jody!
